What did you do this past week?

This past week I did not spend a lot of time working on learning SQL on my own. Because I have no prior SQL and my first experience of it were through lectures I wanted to learn it on my own. We were not getting started on the final phase of the project so I decided to take the time to do that so I will be able to follow along more easily in class and also be able to use it in my side projects.

What did you do this past week?

This past week I spent a lot of time working on phase 3 of the project. The testing and pipeline integration was actually a pretty formidable task as it took a lot more time than expected. This was a very cumbersome task and it took a lot of time and ended up being challenging. I spent a lot of time working on refining the front end test portion. Learning new technologies and frameworks for testing was a valuable experience and was an integral part of finishing this phase.

1. What did you do this past week?

This past week, I worked on the test cases for the GUI through selenium and then the front end tests using jest. Both of these two were a lot more work than I had anticipated so I spent a lot of time working on that. Apart from that I spent time working on some of the frontend stuff that was hanging over from phase 2 and got that out of the way. This freed up time this week and hopefully we will get it done by the deadline.

What did you do this past week?

This past week, i spent most of my time focusing on other classes. I had a lot of work with regard to problem sets as well as coding outside of school. This was because I was busy with other classes, but i still spent sometime looking ahead to phase 3.

In my way right now is a lot of exams for other classes, my last set of midterms are coming up this week so after this week I should have some more time.

What did you do this past week?

This past week I spent a lot of time working on phase 2 of our IDB project as connecting the backend and the front end was difficult. I also had trouble with learning to write tests through mocha as well as writing code for the pagination.

My lack of experience working in backend has given me some trouble with regard to connecting front and backend but with help from my group we should be on a good path now.

1. What did you do this past week?

This past week I spent a lot of time working on my other classes as I devoted a large portion of the week before to SWE. However, when I got time and throughout this weekend I have been learning more about react development as well as some back end softwares. I think learning more about these is extremely important for me to work on the project. I spent a lot of time working on brushing up my SQL as well because I will be needing it for other pro as well.

This past week I was extremely overwhelmed. I had tests in two of my classes and then had a lot of work to do for our website. I was glad that I was able to be productive this week as we finished ahead of time on our website so I could devote time to other classes as well. I also spent a lot of time trying to learn more about react. I am comfortable with HTML but I have a lot to learn for react.

This past week I spent a lot of time researching on ideas for our project. I was hoping to find a project that aligned with my personal interests and fit the requirements set by the class. We ended up finding something that is interesting to me and will have a good impact on the greater community. I am excited to be working on this project going forward. I also spent a lot of time brushing up on my front end skills.
